When I first started blogging, a few months ago, it was with Google. Here are some things I liked about it:
- able to “click and drag” in the setting. If I wanted a category in a different spot it was easy.
- more freedom and choice with the background/colors/settings
- user friendly
Things I like about WordPress
- The fact that you can password protect various entries. This is what ultimately drove me to WordPress. I didn’t want to manage two different blogs. I also didn’t want my family to have to create an account to view the blog. We will see how that works out.
- I can add music. If that was an option with Google, I never figured it out.
I do not like the different “themes” with WordPress. You are limited in what can be adjusted (like color, etc). If you want to customize your header, you are limited to themes.
I have not quite figured out “blogger stats” and am not convinced that it isn’t counting me, although they say my “clicks” are not counted. My stat counter and the blogger stat do not match. Does that mean those using WordPress are not picked up by my counter? Oh well. Not a big deal.
